🐾 Welcome to Our Pack!

Welcome to your new Cub Scout family! We’re thrilled you’ve joined us. Cub Scouting is more than an activity — it’s a journey for your child and your whole family. Together, we’ll explore, learn, grow, and make memories.

This guide gives you everything you need to know to get started, plug in, and feel at home in our pack.

📌 What Is Cub Scouting?

Cub Scouts is built for kids in elementary school (Kindergarten through 5th grade).
Scouts work on age-appropriate Adventures in a handbook (e.g. Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, Arrow of Light).
As they complete those Adventures, they earn badges, patches, and ranks.
Scouts operate in dens (small groups by grade), and all dens come together as a pack (for meetings, ceremonies, events).
You, the parent/guardian, are an essential part of the program — your encouragement, help, and involvement make the experience richer.

🗓 How Our Pack Runs

Here’s how things typically work in our pack:

Den Meetings	Small-group meetings with games, Adventures, skill work	Usually 2× per month
Pack Meetings	Big gathering of all dens — awards, songs, skits, shared fun	Once a month
Events	Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold, Camping, Service Projects, Field Trips	Throughout the year
Advancement & Recognition	Scouts get recognized at pack meetings when they finish Adventures or ranks

We’ll share a year calendar early in the season so you can block time (it helps everyone plan!).
